Leaving Funchal, we set off in our van for Paul da Serra, the largest and longest plateau on Madeira Island with an average altitude of around 1500m. On the first part, we start riding on dirt and gravel roads with breathtaking views over Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol and other mountains. After about 10km, we return to the main road, where we make a decent descent until we reach Fanal, at an altitude of about 1200m, where there is a forest of centuries-old laurel trees and where we ride for about 10km. Finally, we’ll descend to Ribeira da Janela to end our walk at sea level. We do  a lunch break in the middle / end of the tours, however it is not included in the package.
