Leaving Funchal in the direction of Pico do Arieiro, at an altitude of 1810 meters, we enjoy breathtaking views all along the way. We descend to Santo da Serra to visit the local market and explore the town. We continue on off-road paths through the Laurissilva forest to a viewpoint where we can see the north coast of the island and descend to a lower elevation to return to Funchal.
